Three Drops from a Cauldron: Issue 20 (October 2017)

October has arrived! Our favourite time of year around here. (Or at least, it’s mine, and since I’m the only one manning the web journal, I guess that counts. – Kate) This month’s issue is full of suitably strange things for the time of year – a woman becomes an owl, a woman vanishes altogether, spirits, tarot, the underworld, a few unexpected fairytale twists, and a hand of glory, amongst others.

The autumn fun doesn’t stop here of course – it won’t be long until our Samhain 2017 special is published in print and online as well. But for now, please enjoy these 15 poems and flash fictions to get you ready for the month ahead.

Featuring work by Alison Lock, Judith Taylor, Mel Parks, Murad Jalilov & N.K. Valek, Paul Brookes, Jackie Biggs, Susan Speranza, Kathy Gee, Mandy Macdonald, p.a. morbid, Simon Williams, RoAnna Sylver, Karen Little, Ceinwen E Cariad Haydon, and Jennie E. Owen, with cover art by Mel Lampro.

Happy reading!
